  • Cultivate your innate happiness, peacefulness and compassion
  • Study and practice in a supportive group

Class sequence

  • Mindful movement
  • Body scan and deep relaxation
  • Sitting meditation
  • Discuss personal experiences
    (no prior experience of mindfulness, meditation or yoga required )

MBSR is the ‘gold standard’ mindfulness training since 1978

 

The recent MBSR 8 week course ended in mid-November. The next MBSR course will be scheduled after we complete some construction. Check back mid-January for the date of the next MBSR course.

  • Learn life-long tools for living fully despite daily challenges and demands
  • Consciously promote resilience, positive psychology and emotional intelligence
  • Prevent burnout from the stress of work and taking care of others
  • Reduce errors and accidents at work and home
  • Systematically mobilize your inner resources for healing pain and illness
  • Practice a portable toolkit of self-care approaches for promoting health
  • Learn non-drug approaches for managing stress-related chronic conditions
  • Explore the meaning and deepest values that inform your life and your work
  • Cultivate your innate happiness, peacefulness and compassion

 

Slow down, relax the body, quiet the mind and open the heart

 

 This experiential learning environment is based on a facilitated small group process
 Such group support can be a personally transformative model for learning and healing

 

Mindfulness skills you will learn include

 

  • Mindful gentle yoga (no prior yoga experience necessary)
  • Body scan
  • Mindfulness meditation
  • Mindful eating
  • Mindful interpersonal communication
  • Other mind-body skills you will learn include journaling, self-massage, skilled relaxation and imagery
